The research project MIGHEAL aims to investigate the health disadvantage among the migrant population, as compared to the native born population, from the perspective of the rising social and income inequalities in Greece, as a result of the prolonged economic crisis. The project also aims to advance the state-of-the art in research on the migratory phenomenon and to enhance policies related to the integration of migrants in Greek society, in view of reducing social exclusion and the persistence of ethnic inequalities. The project is implemented by the National Centre of Social Research (EKKE) in collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
